Pro-Choice Community Events

Love our blog posts? Looking to get more involved with reproductive rights in Virginia?

Just because the General Assembly is over doesn’t mean we’re taking a break. NARAL Pro-Choice Virginia is hosting several exciting events in the coming weeks, and we want you to join us!

On Wednesday, April 15th, we are hosting a panel discussion on Reproductive Rights and the 2009 General Assembly. Come discuss the ups and downs of the legislative session with some of our best allies in the legislature, including Delegate Kris Amundson, Delegate Vivian Watts, Delegate David Englin, and Delegate Charniele Herring. It will be a fantastic way to learn more about reproductive rights and the General Assembly straight from the source!

The Reproductive Rights and the 2009 General Assembly Panel will be held on Wednesday, April 15th, from 6:30-8:00 pm at the Durant Center in Alexandria. The event is free and open to the public, and refreshments will be provided.

The Durant Center is metro and handicap accessible. Parking is also available. For more information or to RSVP, contact Jessica at Jessica@naralva.org.

On Wednesday, April 29th, we will be hosting our annual Lunafest film festival, featuring films by, for, and about women. Come see films that are compelling, engaging, and even humorous, and raise money for two worthy causes – the NARAL Pro-Choice Virginia Foundation and the Breast Cancer Fund.

Lunafest will be held at the Torpedo Factory on Wednesday, April 29th, from 7:00-9:00 pm. Tickets are $25 ($15 with a student ID). Click here to buy tickets or call 202-973-3085.

Both events promise to be informative, inspiring, and entertaining. We hope to see you there!
