The decision of whether to get pregnant is one that should be made by a woman—not by other people who want to impose their beliefs on her. But a growing number of pharmacists are refusing to fill women’ legally prescribed birth control prescriptions.
The Pharmacy Refusal Notification Act, HB 2373, requires any pharmacy that refuses to fill or refill a prescription for contraception (including emergency contraception) to post a sign notifying customers that contraception is not available. The bill will be voted on TOMORROW in the full Health, Welfare and Institutions Committee in the House of Delegates.
Send a message that you won’t support pharmacists who impose their own beliefs on women seeking access to contraception. Contact your legislator today and ask them to support HB 2373.
